The Hi-Tech/No-Tech Bootcamp training program was held in conjunction with Tech By Artists, a community-wide opportunity for artists and engineers to gather and share expertise during our resident orientation week. This program opened up intensive workshops around technical topics as well as artists' career skills for the incoming 2018 residents, and the top shortlisted 2018 applicants.
These four workshops were centered around exploring both professional development skills as well as creative and technical learning, taught by leaders in the field. These workshops were:
- Making the Case for Your Work & Pitching Your Project by Shama Rahman
- Composing with Systems by Birch Cooper
- Self-Care by Chloe Bass
- Human Chain Workshop by Kaho Abe
Attendees were also invited to a presentation event by the new residents where they could learn from, and critique, the new work being supported at Eyebeam. All the workshops were free to attend, you can also watch the full workshops below. If you need these workshops videos in a different format, please contact us at info@eyebeam.org.
This Hi-Tech/No-Tech Bootcamp was supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
