Note: Event requires RSVP, you can do so at this link.
FFD is a partnership between Moscow based spacesuit engineer Nikolay Moiseev and Brooklyn based inventor and Eyebeam resident artist Ted Southern. Together with over 20 years of experience with spacesuits, the pair have won major space prizes, including second place in the 2009 NASA Astronaut Glove Challenge, outperforming NASA's current technology in many areas.
FFD is ready to participate in the global space revolution, by providing innovative safety and mobility suits for the ultimate environments of space. This quest begins with the fundamental problems of the vacuum of space. The event will include a complete and fully functioning pressure suit unveiling and demonstration, arm and leg burst tests, limb torque demonstrations, and an interactive vacuum chamber glove box. Refreshments will be served.
