Farm City at Crossing the Line Festival
Eyebeam is thrilled to be participating in Farm City: Where Are You Growing? A Celebration of Urban Agriculture! Derek Denckla, editor of thegreenest.net and founder of FarmCity.US, has curated a three weekend program series for the French Institute Alliance Francais (FI:AF) Crossing the Line Festival.
Over three weekends, Farm City celebrates Urban Agriculture and explores the possibilities of a new agrarian future within the current urban reality. Components include: Farm City Fair (Sept 12), Farm City Film (Sept 12 & 14), Farm City Tour (Sept 18 & 19), and Farm City Forum (Sept 25), spotlighting the work of artists, farmers, activists, planners, architects, chefs, and foodies, all devoting themselves to feeding the city both culturally and agriculturally. Hernani Dias will participate in the Farm City Tour with his Re:Farm the City project as part of Farm City Tour, and Eyebeam is co-curating the Farm City Forum with Denkla.
Crossing the Line is FI:AF's fall festival, conceived as a platform to present vibrant new works by a diverse range of trans-disciplinary artists transforming and furthering cultural practices on both sides of the Atlantic. The fourth edition of Crossing the Line is co-curated by Lili Chopra, and Simon Dove and runs from September 10-27, 2010. The Festival opens with a performance by Ryoji Ikeda at the Florence Gould Hall, FIAF, on September 10 and 11. datamatics [ver. 2.0]
